Rebuilding Together Houston Installs Smoke Detectors for Homeowners

Since 2014, Malek Bohsali has worked as Chief Financial Officer for ESP Completion Technologies, LLC, in Stafford, Texas. At the firm, his responsibilities include building budgets and leading financial and FCPA audits. Active within his community, Malek Bohsali spent time with Rebuilding Together Houston as a crew leader.

Rebuilding Together Houston strives to repair homes and give people hope. The organization offers free repairs and renovations for people who are elderly, low income, veterans, or disabled. Begun in 1982, the organization has a network of almost 200 nonprofit affiliates. Through their combined efforts, more than 100,000 volunteers complete almost 10,000 projects each year.

In July 2017, Rebuilding Together Houston announced it joined in partnership with the American Red Cross in Houston, CedarPoint Energy, and the Houston Fire Department to help install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Hundreds of people came to help install these devices in the homes of people living in Houston’s Third Ward. Many people living in this area didn’t have functioning smoke alarms or carbon monoxide detectors.
